Sometimes it can feel like the hits just keep on coming.  One trial comes and before it’s even over we’re dealing with another one.  And maybe yet another one after that.  It can be disorienting and difficult to keep perspective, which is why it is vital that we hold onto our faith in those seasons.

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. (1 Corinthians 16:13 NKJV)

Oftentimes, it’s no accident when we go through such difficulties.  There is an enemy of our souls who is eager to wreak havoc in any way that would tempt us to wander from the path God has for us.  Satan wants to keep us from trusting God, and also to keep us from fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives.

Thankfully, we are never on our own, even in the midst of the devil’s onslaught.  When we make the choice to resist temptation and trust God, whatever the details of the situation might be, God will come through and back us up.  He is the One who gives us the ability to stand strong - as long as we let Him.

For the king trusts in the LORD, And through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be moved. (Psalm 21:7 NKJV)

You may be going through a trial right now…, make the decision to not be moved- to stand fast in the faith no matter what.  When you do, you open yourself up to receive God’s mercy and grace for whatever anyone can throw at you.
